What do candidates on the Safe Use of Hand Power Tools Course actually do?
The Power Tools Course begins by looking at the range of power tools that the course covers and how they should be used safely. The instructor will explain the dangers involved with using these tools and the importance of performing safety checks before using the tools as well as the appropriate methods and care that are required when actually using them. We ensure that the candidates get involved with this section of the course by using syndication methods and toolbox talk techniques.

To gain proper practice of using the tools and applying the safety issues we get the candidates to build a small project - a power tool storage box. This is deliberately designed in such a way that all 6 of the tools that we want to cover get extensive usage.
